Hyundai Azera (Grandeur) 2027 A Digital Revolution with "Shark Nose" Design and Beyond-Expectation Luxury

Hyundai has unveiled the first images and technical data for the updated 2027 Azera (Grandeur) facelift. This release reinforces the vehicle's position as a flagship sedan that blends professional exterior design with a digital revolution in the interior cabin. The new models are expected to debut globally in the second half of 2026, with an official launch in international markets by mid-2027.
Exterior Design: "Shark Nose" Language and Dominant Presence
The exterior body has undergone updates that grant the car a more stable and sophisticated appearance:
- Shark Nose Fascia: An evolved design with simplified lines, featuring a narrowed full-length LED daytime running light and reduced-size main headlights that integrate seamlessly into the air intake.
- Chrome Accents: The grille and air inlets are merged into a single unit adorned with polished chrome, reflecting the luxury quality of business-class vehicles.
- Increased Dimensions: The vehicle length has increased by 15 mm, reaching a total of 5,050 mm, allowing for a stretched body posture that enhances its road presence.
- Connected Rear: Turn signals have been moved from the lower bumper to be integrated within the full-width LED taillight strip, complemented by a slimmer black bumper trim.
- Color Distinction: A new exclusive color, "Artistic Burgundy," has been introduced in both matte and glossy finishes, along with newly designed multi-spoke sport rims.
Interior Cabin: Digital Revolution and "Smart Simplicity"
The cabin has undergone a comprehensive redesign focusing on luxury and intelligence:
- Giant Screen: Previous displays have been replaced by a single 17-inch central touchscreen, integrating the 12.3-inch infotainment system and the 10.25-inch climate control panel into a clean, unified interface.
- Pleos Connect System: Digital systems are powered by the advanced Android-based "Pleos Connect" platform for significantly improved performance and functionality.
- Hidden Air Vents: The vents are electrically operated, allowing full control over airflow direction and intensity via the touchscreen.
- Smart Vision Roof: An innovative glass roof that allows passengers to switch between transparent and opaque states at the touch of a button.
- Luxurious Environment: Features quilted seats, "sofa-texture" door panels, wood trim, metal accents, and an ambient lighting system, creating an upscale atmosphere comparable to luxury brands.
Performance and Powertrain Options
The vehicle continues to offer diverse options that balance performance and efficiency:
- 2.5L Engine (GDi): A naturally aspirated 4-cylinder unit delivering 198 hp (146 kW).
- Hybrid System: Combines a 2.5L turbocharged engine with an electric drive, delivering a total output of 293 hp (216 kW).
- Flagship V6 Engine: A 3.5L unit (available in gasoline or LPG) providing smooth, high-performance output, with an available All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option.
